So we definitely witnessed a change transitioning from Ontario to Québec. All signs were in French, everyone spoke French, overall there was just this French vibe, which of course I loved because I am a super francophile. Going to a francophone country has always been on my bucketlist. Montréal was the first francophone city I've ever been to. Without a doubt, it was my favorite part of the trip. Everything there was beautiful to me! I would love to go back there in a heartbeat. I wish I had more time to explore more of the city and do more shopping and practice speaking more French! There were so many nice (and expensive!) shops there. I didn't really end up buying that much aside from a couple of souvenirs since I was running out of Canadian money. But definitely on my next trip in Montréal I will save up a lot more. The night life there was fun and uplifting to me. We spent our first night there in Vieux-Montréal, and when I step out of the car, I was just completely awe-struck by everything. We had our first meal there at a really nice and fancy restaurant; it was delicious! For the next 2 days, my dad's other childhood friend showed us around downtown and even a little bit outside of downtown. All in all, Montréal is amazing!
